as well. the left lane is blocked at the westbound direction. at 3:00 a.m. there was a big rig accident a big rig struck this divider spilling fuel in the westbound direction. that's why the left lane has been shut down. jackie's the soul with the shot of the cleanup operations. we are looking at the westbound traffic. you can see why the delay has been called off. the fuel spill and the wet pavement making hazardous conditions. diesel has a higher content of oil so it leaves as slippery residue on the pavement. that's why clean-up continues. they are expecting they may have this reopened as early as 7:00 a.m.. that could be a much better opening time then a regional estimates. it is already backed up all the way to the up 580 is a slow ride this morning westbound for livermore. no problems out all want to pass. once we check with jackie shot we will keeping eye on cleanup operations monitoring it. if they are out of there within 35 minutes we could catch a break for westbound 580. interstate 80 through albany through the s curve heavy this morning 80 commute was a very heavy one yester

. westbound 580, the two right lanes are blocked. traffic's going to be jammed out of the altamont pass. we'll keep an eye on this and an update on the earlier accident on westbound 37 in vallejo. >> good thursday morning, everyone. it is one minute past 6:00. i'm eric thomas. >> i'm kristen sze. let's talk about those traffic problems. >> what's the bad news? >> okay, eric, i think this one because it's an overturn crash and apparently one of the cars is on fire and possibly someone trapped in the vehicle, this is really going to mess things up as you make your way out of livermore. traffic slowing to 15 mph with the two right lanes blocked. every time we take a look at this it's growing. now over half an hour. 35 minutes from 205 to 680. that's ten minutes to your commute. you may want to consider ace train as a good alternate to get around that area or avoid that stretch of 580 and cut over on highway 84 and that will get you to 680. also westbound 37 in vallejo at highway 29. there were four separate accidents. it did tie up traffic. all lanes of westbound 37 were closed for a while. th

problems or hot spots transmute the bay bridge westbound still pretty light here though in the next 20 minutes they are likely to activate the meter lights and we will see back up for the west bound ride san mateo bridge no problems you can see the commute looks good no delays coming over from hayward on highway 92 looks good. 101 southbound moving well this morning even through marin county no delays. we are keeping our eye on interstate 580 in the westbound direction there was an early morning report of a stall and even though was not blocking lanes it could be getting enough interest to grade debt early back up. >> we will be back as the kron news returns after a b-a-c-c-a-l-a-u-r-e-a-t-e. baccalaureate. correct. spot westbound out of tool 5 continuing through the altamont pass it has improved for their drive out of tracy and through the altamont but still heavy as westbound between livermore and the dublin interchange thing continuing westbound over the dublin dublin great. heavy traffic towards castro valley 680 southbound is starting to bar pick-up delays towards caldera since in all. this appears to be a new pattern. interstate 80 not yet a hot spot is already slow westbound as you can see from highway 4 heading down alway to interstate 580 even slowing through berkeley writing down to the short freeway the macarthur maze is still ok with no problems there. westbound things already starting to back up a bit you can see there ride is loath your it was moments ago back up to the first over all across which was the oakland army base now back again toward 880 for the west bound ride the 880 approach is still very light your best approach to the bridge. over to the creek says bound is not backed up leading into alamo and heading down towards libor in your road with the diamond lane and the exit

.m. towards pittsburgh and antioch, but the speeds are westbound. still early for that to show up. expect that right around 5:00 and more folks hit the roadway and hit pittsburgh. back to you. >> the california public util y utilities commission is demanding pg&e test the lines for leak after an explosion in a san bruno neighborhood. this shows what it was like moments after the blast. the blast locked his house and he looked outside and saw this and could feel the heat of the flames. neighbors returned to 293 of the 377 homes in the suburb. over a 3 1/2 hour period yesterday afternoon. people in the remaining 84 homes have not been allowed to return. those homes were destroyed or have extensive damage or are close to the blast site. here are the latest numbers. the fire destroyed nearly 50 homes and damaged dozens of otherings. they are trying to confirm just how many people died. we know it's at least four. another four are missing. at least 60 are injured and some critically. the explosion blew a pipe up 28 feet long on to the street and created a crater 167 feet long, 26 feet wide. p
